THE ART OF PAUL YGARTUA

AI in Motion Acrylic on Canvas 96 x 144 cm | 38 x 56 in 2025 €3,000

This is the machine dreaming — but it dreams in chaos. In AI in Motion, Ygartua lets go of control, mirroring the unpredictable evolution of artificial intelligence. Thick textures, fractured black veins, and glacial whites form a web of thought, code, and consciousness unraveling in real time. It’s alive, yet alien — painted not with programming, but pure intuition.

Paul Ygartua does not paint machines. He paints their emotions. AI in Motion erupted in one sitting — a frenzy of layered textures, pours, and spontaneous collisions. “This is what it feels like when code learns how to feel,” he said, standing back. There’s no logic here — just the raw birth of something synthetic, becoming sentient through art.
Silver Currents on Solar Tide, Acrylic on Canvas
95 x 145 cm | 37 x 57 in – 2025 €3,000

A radiant sea of solar yellow surges beneath tangled silver veins and inky black tendrils. Silver Currents on Solar Tide captures the collision between raw nature and something extraterrestrial — an abstract seascape not ruled by water, but by energy. Ygartua doesn’t tame the chaos; he lets it spill, ripple, and devour the canvas like sunlight cracking through circuitry.

This piece came fast — like a storm on a bright day. Paul laid down the yellow without thought, then struck it with black and silver in a kind of visual combustion. He didn’t aim to paint water, or light, or even movement. He aimed to capture the electricity of becoming — the moment when something unseen rushes to the surface. The result is a tide you can’t swim in — only feel.
Veins of the Forum , Acrylic on Canvas
95 x 153 cm | 37 x 60 in – 2025 €3,000

Glowing red dominates the canvas, like sunlit stone burning under centuries of voices. Gold and bronze fracture across the surface like ancient echoes — broken mosaics of memory and speech. In Veins of the Forum, Ygartua channels something primal and civic: the pulse of ideas, debates, revolutions — all alive beneath the surface of time. It is history painted instinctively, not remembered, but felt.

This work emerged after a walk through Rome’s ruins — but Paul didn’t sketch arches or columns. Instead, he came back to the studio and poured red like blood, slashed gold like empire, and wove shapes like tangled rhetoric. Veins of the Forum isn’t architecture — it’s argument. It’s the sound of a thousand voices, still whispering under stone.
Break Through Acrylic on Canvas 121 x 121 cm | 48 x 48 in 2025 €3,200

Explosions of colour slam into jagged angles, while instinctive linework cuts across the chaos like lightning bolts. Break Through is a riot of form and movement — urgent, erratic, and unstoppable. It’s not a composition; it’s a rupture. Ygartua doesn’t sketch or map — he attacks the canvas with pure will, letting the act of breaking become the art itself.

There was a wall — mental, creative, invisible. So Paul did what only the fearless do: he broke through it. Break Through came in a single burst, no time to think. He dragged colour from every corner of his mind and let energy guide his hand. The result is not just a painting, but a breakthrough captured in real time — bold, bright, and breathless.
